Ollantaytambo - km104 - Sun Gate - Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes
Prepare for an exhilarating day of adventure as you embark on the iconic Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu. Your day begins early as your guide picks you up at 5:30 am. Board the train in Ollantaytambo, savoring picturesque views and enjoying breakfast along the way (not included). Disembark at Km104, the starting point of your trek, situated 2,000 meters (6400ft) above sea level. Embark on the awe-inspiring Inca Trail hike, crossing the Urubamba River and ascending gentle slopes with panoramic vistas. Marvel at the spectacular ruins of Wiñay Wayna nestled amidst lush jungle foliage before enjoying a hearty lunch at Wiñay Wayna campground. Today, you'll fulfill your dreams as you witness the sunrise over the majestic Machu Picchu. After an early breakfast, board one of the first buses to the citadel and embark on a guided tour of its key highlights, immersing yourself in its mystical atmosphere. Enjoy free time in Aguas Calientes for shopping, sightseeing, or relaxation before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, you'll be transferred back to your hotel in Cusco, arriving in the evening.
