Journey from Cusco (3,400m) to Killarumiyoc Moon Temple (3,200m), visit Tarawasi (2,675m), hike to the Condor Viewpoint at Chonta (3,400m), overnight in Curahuasi (2,650m), explore Saywite (2,700m) and Capitan Rumi (2,900m), before returning to Cusco.

We pick you up from your hotel in Cusco between 7:30 - 8:00 AM. The tour ends around 7:00 PM on Day 2 when we drop you back at your hotel. The entire experience lasts 2 full days.
Yes! This tour is family-friendly and suitable for children ages 12 and up. The walking at Chonta Condor Viewpoint is moderate with some uphill sections. The archaeological sites are accessible for most ages. We recommend bringing snacks and water for the group.
On Day 1, lunch is served in the Chonta area with traditional Andean cuisine. Dinner and accommodation are in Curahuasi. On Day 2, lunch is in Curahuasi town. You will enjoy regional specialties including quinoa soup, local produce, and fresh ingredients from the valley. Vegetarian options available upon request.
The hike to the Condor Viewpoint in Chonta takes approximately 2 hours and reaches 3,400m altitude. The trail is moderate with some steep sections. Wear hiking boots with good grip and bring water. The other archaeological sites (Killarumiyoc, Tarawasi, Saywite) involve easier walking on maintained paths.
The Saywite Stone is a fascinating ceremonial monolith featuring an intricate carved replica of an Inca world in miniature, including mountains, terraces, rivers, and animal figures. Some researchers consider it a miniature representation similar to Machu Picchu. It is located near Curahuasi and is visited on Day 2 of this tour.
Killarumiyoc is an ancient archaeological site dedicated to the worship of the moon. The name means 'Moon Stone' in Quechua. It features carved stone structures that served as a lunar observatory for the Inca civilization. The site is located along the ancient Inca road west of Cusco and is less visited than other sites, offering a more authentic experience.
Yes, we offer daily departures for this tour throughout the year. For private tours, you can choose any date that works for you. Shared group tours depart based on demand we recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance to secure your spot.
The tour operates rain or shine. During rainy season (November-April), we recommend bringing a rain jacket or poncho. We can provide ponchos if needed. Light rain usually doesn't affect the experience, and the archaeological sites can be even more photogenic with dramatic clouds.
We strongly recommend spending at least 2 days in Cusco (3,400m) before taking this tour. The highest point is the Condor viewpoint at 3,400m (11,155ft). Drink plenty of water, avoid heavy meals, and take it easy. Our vehicles carry oxygen bottles for emergencies.
