We include comfortable 3-star hotels in Aguas Calientes with private bathroom, hot water, and breakfast. Upgrades to 4 and 5-star hotels are available upon request for an additional cost.

The Aguas Calientes hot springs are a relaxing option after your journey. Entry costs approximately $5 USD. They're natural thermal pools, though facilities are basic. Best visited in the late afternoon or evening.
Machu Picchu (2,430m) is lower than Cusco (3,400m), so you'll feel better there. The overnight stay allows gradual acclimatization. We recommend arriving in Cusco 1-2 days early, staying hydrated, and avoiding alcohol. Our guides carry oxygen tanks for emergencies.
